DORCAS LANE ANEMOMETER Nov 2011 Back

Force 9 Energy has welcomed the decision by Aylesbury Vale District Council to allow it to erect a temporary anemometer mast at the Dorcas Lane Wind Farm site. David Butterworth, managing director of the company, said "This was an application for anemometry mast only. It was not an application for a wind farm and the councillors correctly assessed it on that basis. We know that prior to the meeting some opponents of the wind farm had tried to portray a successful met mast application as indicative of a future decision by the council on the wind farm itself . We have never seen it that way although we do understand that the objective of the action group is to whip up public opinion against the project. We now look forward to completing our assessment of the site and to making the findings public via an Environmental Impact Assessment which we expect to complete by the end of the year .We think that only then can the merits of the wind farm itself be judged based on real and verifiable facts."
