After receiving planning permission from Carmarthenshire County Council, construction was completed in January 2010 on a 10-turbine wind farm on farmland north east of Alltwalis, 12km north of Carmarthen. The wind farm, which is now owned and operated by Statkraft is generating clean electricity for more than 16,770 homes. The grassland site continues to be used for the grazing of sheep and cattle.
