Force 9 Energy has submitted a Planning Application to Stirling Council for their proposed Craigton & Spittalhill wind farm. The proposed wind farm comprises of 7 wind turbines each up to 3MW in generating capacity (and 125m to blade tip height). This equates to a total potential installed capacity of 21MW.
We will continue to liaise with community representatives, Council officers and other interested stakeholders over the coming months to discuss the application and also the proposed community benefit fund.
*Please note that this figure is based on 7 turbines with a rated capacity of 3MW operating at 26.35% capacity (long term average capacity factor for onshore wind from Digest of UK Energy Statistics) and assuming 4,266 is the average UK household electricity consumption in kW hours (based on DECCs publication URN:12D/468).
