Deuchries wind farm was granted consent on the 1st of April 2014 by Aberdeenshire Council. It is situated 1.5km to the east of Aberchirder in the Banff and Buchan The proposed wind farm comprises of 3 x 2.3MW turbines, equating to a total installed capacity of up to 6.9MW.

Throughout the consultation process and going forward Force 9 Energy will liaise with the local community and appraise and update them as the proposals progress. The plans for Deuchries were formally displayed at a public exhibition in the Marnoch Church Hall, Aberchirder in October 2011. Over 150 people attended the exhibition to view the proposals and provided comments on the proposal through the public opinion survey. Following feedback received and continued liaison with the local community the scheme design was amended to significantly reduce visibility of the wind farm to Aberchirder and a 3 turbine scheme was submitted, based on this feedback.

* Please note that this figure is based on 3 turbines with a rated capacity of 2.3MW operating at 27.3% capacity (based on site derived data correlated against long term met data) and assuming 4,266 is the average UK household electricity consumption in kW hours (based on DECCs publication URN:12D/468).
